BRENNA LLEWELLYN | Her

Brenna Llewellyn is a Vancouver-based actress who began her career in commercials and video games before transitioning to television and film. In 2024, she starred in the Tubi Original backwoods horror film Lowlives, portraying a determined country teen forced to protect her family. Her upcoming projects include Tracker (Season 2), in which she plays Beth, and Final Destination: Bloodlines (2025), where she appears as Val.

 

Llewellyn has collaborated with director Bruno Canel on HELP (2021) and the upcoming short film Purple (2025). Beyond acting, she channels her creativity into writing and is currently working on her debut novel.

 

 

GARETH REES | Him

Gareth Rees is a Welsh-born actor with over a decade of experience in the film industry. Now based in Canada, he has worked across short films, television, and feature films, including Coarse Victim, the miniseries For You, and Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made. His most recent work, Surface of Blood, premiered in 2024.

 

Rees has collaborated with director Bruno Canel on Aurora (2018), HELP (2021), and the upcoming short film Purple (2025). Outside of acting, he continues to explore roles that challenge and expand his artistic range, working alongside creative voices that have shaped his journey.

BRUNO CANEL

 

Producer, Writer and Director

Bruno Canel immigrated to Canada in 2016 from his hometown of Alagoas, Brazil, with a dream to channel his passion for storytelling and filmmaking into meaningful work. After earning a diploma in Television and Video Production from BCIT, Bruno has dedicated himself to his passion for writing, directing, and producing. 

 

Bruno's approach to the industry is shaped by his hands-on experience across various departments, including Locations, Health and Safety, and Set Decoration. This multidisciplinary background reflects his commitment to understanding the complexities of the industry, enabling him to bring artistic visions to life while navigating the practical realities of production.

 

As a queer Latino landed immigrant, and a member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, Bruno is acutely aware of the challenges that underrepresented creators face in the film industry. Despite these barriers, his determination has earned recognition, including a grant from The Canada Council for the Arts to produce "Purple". This screenplay has been in his mind for almost two decades and holds special significance, driven by the belief that storytelling can foster understanding and drive change.

 

 

 

 

BRADLEY MOLLICA

Bradley Mollica is a Canadian-born film professional based in Vancouver, British Columbia. He graduated from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) with a degree in Television and Broadcast Programming, where he honed both his technical and creative skills. With a solid foundation in the film industry, Bradley has spent the past five years working in Vancouver's vibrant film industry. His experience includes contributing to various television and film productions in the Locations Department, as well as taking on roles in Producing, Directing, and Location Management for small-budget short film projects.

 

 

Bradley is incredibly passionate about film and storytelling, with a keen eye for detail and a strong dedication to his craft. He believes in the power of film to inspire, entertain, and provoke thought, and strives to create impactful work that resonates with audiences. With a drive for pushing boundaries and exploring new creative avenues, Bradley is a true visionary in the industry. His work has been recognized for its innovation and creativity, earning him a reputation as a talented and versatile professional in the world of filmmaking.

 

 

 

 

SAMI  RAHIMI

Sami Rahimi it's a landed immigrant, driven by visual storytelling through his innovative approach to lighting, composition, and drawing inspiration from his environment. 

 

Graduating from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in 2018, his collaboration on the films he works on from its inception highlighted his innate ability to pay meticulous attention to detail and craft visually stunning scenes that captivate audiences.

 

With a keen eye for capturing emotion and narrative through visual elements, Sami's work stands out for its compelling and immersive storytelling that leaves a lasting impact on viewers. His dedication to pushing creative boundaries and commitment to his craft have been praised by Btuno Canel, with wich he has calaborated in three projects , Aurora (2018), Help (2021), and Purple (2025).

 

 

 

 

 

CHAD SCHMULAND

 

Production Designer & Set Decorator

 

With over 12 years of experience in the film and interior design industries, Chad Schmuland has built a reputation for crafting visually compelling environments that bring creative visions to life. As the production designer and set decorator for the short film Purple, he developed immersive spaces that enhanced the storytelling and emotional depth of the project. 

 

Chad’s diverse expertise spans production design, art direction, and set decoration, allowing him to seamlessly blend artistic creativity with logistical precision. Whether designing intricate sets or leading teams to execute complex visuals, he is passionate about creating cinematic worlds that captivate and inspire audiences.

 

 

 

JANINE FERREIRA

 

Sound Design, Music & Foley

Janine Ferreira is a composer celebrated for her ambient piano compositions, which seamlessly blend electronic sounds with environmental recordings. Her music delves into themes of identity, memory, love, trauma, and loss, crafting evocative soundscapes for film and animation.

 

Influenced by her childhood on Gambier Island, BC, and inspired by composers such as Enya, Chilly Gonzales, and Hildur Guðnadóttir, Janine skillfully merges the organic elements of nature with cutting-edge technology in her work.

 

A graduate of Simon Fraser University with a BFA in Music Composition and Langara College’s Digital Music Production program, Janine specializes in sound design, composition and orchestration, and sound engineering. She has extensive experience mixing and mastering for film, with her recent work showcased at film festivals in Vancouver and internationally.

 

A passionate advocate for women in composition, Janine is a proud member of the Alliance of Women Film Composers and the Screen Composers Guild of Canada (SCGC). Her recent projects include scoring for the Turning Point Ensemble and collaborating on various local film and animation productions.

 

Based in Vancouver, BC, Janine is also an active teacher and recording artist, continuing to inspire through her innovative approach to music and storytelling.
